Abstract. The article is devoted to a comprehensive consideration of creative activity in the daily lives of city dwellers as an idea for creating a concept for a fashion clothing project.

One example of creative living is the possibility of realizing creativity at the intersection of photography and costume.

The relevance of the topic relates to the increased interest in designers modern interpretation of fashion and search for new images.

The purpose of the work is to analyze the author’s creative activity as a source of inspiration for creating author’s clothing designs.

Tasks: to find methodological foundations for project concept formation; to show possibility of actively seeking creative idea with author’s personal experience; to form main idea of concept; to analyze application of idea using example of model made in material; determine possible directions of topic development.

Research methods: analysis of methodological sources related to project thinking, philosophy, sociology, psychology of culture &design; visual research into author’s artistic practices; work on implementation of samples in material.

Results: generalized description of methodology for analysis &formulation of project concept completed; design solution found; samples made in material illustrating main idea of collection.

Much attention is paid to the consideration of aspects of daily activities in the article, which include personal perception of fashion and attitude towards design.

The article provides a detailed analysis of stylistics, shaping and color scheme of projected collection and shows the process of technical execution of decor.

Conclusions: search for an expressive artistic image through author’s creative and emotional experience turns out to be an effective method for finding a project idea.
