Abstract. It is found in the article that the garment industry is currently experiencing a shortage of qualified personnel due to the combination of problems observed in this industry. Based on this, the motivation of personnel in the garment industry today is becoming a key aspect, ensuring not only the safety of personnel, but also stimulating innovative activity and improving the quality of work in conditions of increased uncertainty and stress. The article discusses the main methods of motivating workers in the garment industry: financial, tangible, and intangible. Financial methods include bonus systems and differential remuneration; tangible methods relate to providing modern equipment, creating comfortable working conditions, and providing other benefits to employees; intangible methods are based on recognition of merit, career growth, and employee involvement in decision-making. The author offers a guide on the formation of a motivation system for workers in the garment industry, which includes an introduction, five sections, and a conclusion. The sections of the guide include analysis of personnel needs, financial methods of motivation, tangible methods of motivation, intangible methods of motivation, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the motivation system. This guide provides a framework for the development of a multidimensional incentive system, covering a variety of tools, ranging from bonus systems and flexible pay systems, to training seminars and career development programs. The article also emphasizes the need to create a cyclical employee motivation system based on regular feedback from employees and constant adaptation of the system to changing conditions. The practical application of the developed guidelines in personnel management in the garment industry can help increase production efficiency in conditions of a shortage of qualified workers.
