Abstract. The article discusses the issue of layout for fashion magazines, using the example of well-known publications VOGUE and ELLE. The authors conducted a detailed analysis of the design of covers and spreads of these magazines, and also compared the two brands of magazines with each other, identifying differences and similarities.

Particular attention was paid to comparing the same brand of magazine produced in different countries. Geographic location and target audience have been found to influence the design and visual presentation of magazines. Differences in culture, local fashion trends and audience preferences mean that the same brand of magazine may have differences in different countries.

Common features and similarities between VOGUE and ELLE were also identified, despite their individual characteristics. This indicates that certain fashion trends and styles intersect and influence different publications in the fashion world.

The conducted research allows us to better understand what factors influence the design of fashion magazines, and what trends can be seen in the work of large publishing houses. Analysis of the features of various magazines allowed us not only to assess the influence of geography and audience, but also to understand how editorial staff build their design to meet the needs of their readers. It was concluded that maintaining similar style and design between ELLE and VOGUE magazines emphasizes their brand unity and encourages reader loyalty. Each publication retains its recognition and authority thanks to its stable layout and design.
