Abstract. The authors presented an experiment as a tool that used the Midjourney neural network at the stage of sketching shoes of various types and purposes. As a clear example, the work of AI at the stage of transformation of a 2D sketch into a volumetric three-dimensional sketch is given. The analysis of the capabilities of the Midjourney neural network in the process of sketching shoes is carried out. The optimal parameters of text queries for generating design solutions are experimentally established. Both the creative capabilities of the system and its limitations are revealed. The article presents the results of creating sketches of sports-style football sneakers and women’s sports sneakers in a futuristic style, football sneakers in a modification style, and high-top boots in a geometric style, the results of creating sketches of high-heeled shoes in the style of a Japanese kimono, and foot protectors without defining a style, the results of generating sports-style shoes based on a uploaded reference.
