Using the creativity of artists in the design of knitwear

Abstract. The author analyzes the problem of using the creativity of famous artists to achieve the figurative and ornamental characteristics of the color and plastic solution of knitwear.

The article is devoted to the review of some ways of alternative use of creative sources in the design of knitwear and to confirm the current trends in creative practice.

The author proposed a method of using the creativity of famous artists to achieve the figurative and ornamental characteristics of color and plastic solutions for knitwear.

For the formation of the proposed examples were selected certain paintings, written in the appropriate technique and in the image and likeness selected similar knit items or canvases. In this case, the knowledge gained serves both as form-making elements of the sheet color-making and as ornaments.

The color gamut in this case is taken into account and is selected on the basis of the most suitable for a clear tracking of images of sources in a suit. In the application of a comparative analysis of two (visually similar) values, this method of using painting techniques in the design of knitwear consists.

The results of this work can be used in the development of knitted fabrics and costume from them, as well as further deepening and development of this methodology for designing a costume.

Project practice using this technique has the opportunity to set benchmarks for improving the professional training of designers and stylists, as well as expand the boundaries of their creative research.
