Abstract. The main idea of article consists in possibility of transformation of signs of ancient Russian culture in modern ornamental solutions of a suit from jersey, entering of a fresh stream into the principle of use of these signs in structure of design of clothes. The author presented opportunity to define how these signs get each other on the basis of transfer and their transformation at design not only an ornament, but also structure of a suit. It is important for understanding of unity of a form and an ornament in a modern suit where possibilities of creation of unique options of the new forms of a suit revealed through partitionings of an avaricious, laconic ornament of a geometrical look open.

Relevance of the research conducted by authors is defined by requirement not only to tarnsformirovat traditional, original art in modern artistic realizations, but also to solve an innovation problem in arts and crafts, to keep it as a valuable reference point of modern culture according to social and technological development of society.

Design of a suit on the basis of researches of signs of a national suit and the offer of introduction them in modern fashion considerably expands possibilities of fashion designers, mainly, allowing to create new forms of a suit and an ornament on the basis of evidence-based researches.
