Automated methods for the artistic design of knitted fabrics with specified visual effects

Abstract. To date, various automated systems are widely used in the production of knitwear, the more acute is the shortage of qualified knitting experts. When designing knitwear, the process automation takes place at the level of the knitting program, while on the screen it is impossible to see the structure of the future knitted fabric creating on the surface three-dimensional visual effects, they can not be modeled and predicted. The task is to classify the three-dimensional structures of knitted fabrics from the position of visual effects with the help of a computer.

On personal computers of mass application for today there are not enough scientific developments on creation of a technique for automated artistic designing of jersey of new structures and drawings, which is an actual direction for the theory. The problem is that this technique of automated artistic design becomes a universal tool that allows creating knitted fabrics of new structures and getting a visual representation of them already on the display screen without testing samples.
