Abstract. The article discusses the importance of preserving cultural heritage among young people, which is particularly relevant in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The article provides an analysis of various authors’ works in this area.

The student laboratory of fashion and creativity «ILEM» presents the «Harmony of Traditions» collection of modern knitwear items with elements of Chuvash symbolism and the university logo, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Yakovlev University. The collection reflects the connection between the past and the present. The models of the collection are described in detail. The products demonstrate how ancient embroidery and accessories come to life on modern silhouettes, how the university logo becomes a fashionable print, and how thermal printing technologies add a new dimension to classic tracksuits.

The article illustrates the use of advanced technologies: innovative finishing in the form of digital printing on knitwear; development and digitization of prints on the vector graphics editor CorelDRAW; 3D visualization of the projected model of a women’s knitwear set on a virtual mannequin in the «Clo3D» program; embroidery on an automated embroidery machine VELLES with numerical control.

The bright accents of the decor, the most significant for the Chuvash people — «Tree of Life», «Chuvash Heart», «Shield», «Sun» are visualized.

The originality of the work’s results is confirmed by diplomas of various degrees.

The ILEM Student Fashion and Creativity Laboratory at Yakovlev University is a platform for the creative reinterpretation of national costume motifs and their embodiment in various forms of modern clothing and accessories using the Technopark’s equipment.

The results of this work clearly demonstrate how the integration of advanced technologies into the design process of modern clothing while preserving the cultural code allows for the creation of unique collections that combine innovation and tradition, meeting the demands of the time while preserving national identity.
