Abstract. One of the leading segments of the market are products made of denim materials. The assortment of denim products is diverse and includes shoulder, waist and shoulder-clear clothing; hats; haberdashery, glove and scarf-scarf items. One of the most popular types of clothing made of denim materials is a jacket. Denim is a thick cotton fabric with a twill weave. It is used as the main material for making jackets. A wide range of denim jackets can be seen on various marketplaces. Denim jackets are distinguished by silhouette and style solutions, the presence of finishing elements, a variety of lengths, and surface treatment effects of the main material. The classification of jackets depending on various characteristics: seasonality, purpose, gender and age, package of materials used, style, silhouette, design option, design and technological features was developed by the authors of the article. It was revealed that in addition to denim jackets without lining, insulated jackets lined with natural or artificial fur are designed, which are relevant in the autumn-winter period. There is a shortage of information on their technological solutions, despite the high demand for jackets. Modern industrial sewing machines with lockstitch and chain stitch are used to make jackets. These sewing machines allow you to perform various technological operations of high quality. The variants of processing the main knots of classic-style denim jackets without lining and with fur lining are presented: pockets, collars, the bottom of the product and sleeves. The proposed classification of denim jackets will allow specialists of sewing enterprises to optimize the assortment range of products. The considered technology of manufacturing products will ensure the efficiency of the formation of technological information about the design object.
