Abstract. Modern technological processes in the chemical industry are associated with occupational health risks for workers arising from work with potent toxic substances, as well as from the operation of chemical technological facilities. PPE plays an important role in reducing the impact of harmful production factors on the worker. Preventing and reducing the impact of harmful and dangerous factors in the process of labor activity on workers is a mandatory preventive task for enterprises. Among the materials for solving this problem, materials based on carbon sorbents are potentially interesting.

The results of the experimental studies have demonstrated the prospects of the development. The obtained sample of sorption-filtering material with the use of activated carbon particles has high protective properties against toxic chemicals of skin-resorptive action, provides protection against the effects of vapor, aerosol, gas phase of industrial corrosive environments.

The authors of the article have developed a technological scheme for the industrial production of the material. The developed sorption-filtering material allows the production of modern material from Russian components. In comparison with the industrial carbon-containing sorption-filtering materials presented on the Russian market, the proposed scheme for the production of a new material has a simple technical design and is economically effective, environmentally friendly, this will allow to master and set up production in a short time.

The use of this type of materials for the manufacture of special protective clothing will increase the efficiency of PPE and, in turn, reduce the risks of occupational diseases; will provide comfort during operation, which will increase satisfaction with professional activities and increase labor productivity; eliminates the need to use additional special suits, which will optimize the cost of ensuring labor safety and protection.
