Abstract. This article presents the results of a study of constructive solutions in the design of men’s clothing for outdoor activities. The relevance of designing clothes for outdoor activities is due to the popularization of outdoor recreation, as well as the growing interest among people in an active lifestyle and sports. At the initial stage of the study, the authors examined the range of jackets designed for outdoor recreation and identified the most common design solutions used in this product group. Further, the information obtained was used to design sketches of jacket models with various types of shelf parts. The study analyzed the visual impact on the perception of the proportions of the figure and identified the most harmonious division of the details of the shelves in shoulder products designed for men. This study will be interesting for designers, designers and other specialists in the garment industry.
