Abstract. The article discusses the issues of updating the activities of sewing enterprises through the development of Internet services on the example of creating a website for hats. The authors were guided by modern fashion trends and consider the historical continuity of hats with a visor, their shape and wearing traditions in men’s and women’s wardrobes. Particular attention in the article is paid to modern women’s caps. The relevance of the study is confirmed by the variety of cap models in seasonal collections. It seems important to create original women’s headdresses, including hybrid forms on the example of collaboration with a hood, helmet, beret, etc. The shape and style of the headdress must obey the general principles of composition, knowledge of which provides an accurate constructive solution to the shape of both individual elements and the costume as a whole. The article contains sketches and descriptions of eight models that can become the basis of the assortment collection of a sewing enterprise engaged in the production of clothing and accessories. The most popular sites for selling goods via the Internet were studied, their advantages and disadvantages were noted. The main disadvantage of the known services is that they are only intermediaries between the manufacturer and the consumer and have no direct connection with enterprises in terms of influencing the formation of the assortment collection and consumer choice. An important component of the site should be a virtual fitting room, which will provide feedback to the consumer and help him with the choice of a model, its shape, material, and finish. A positive result of the study can be considered the formulation of tasks and the development of recommendations for creating an online store of hats using the example of a single range.
