Abstract. The modern clothing market is characterized by a great variety and saturation. However, more consumers are paying attention to the environmental safety of the environment. They tend to make up their wardrobe from a minimum number of high-quality things. Thus, conscious consumption replaces excessive consumption. Conscious consumption helps to reduce the negative impact of human activity on the world around us.
The article presents a comparative analysis of transformable clothing and capsule wardrobe. The author’s concept of a wardrobe of clothes based on the principle of complementarity is described. A complementary wardrobe does not limit the number of items of clothing, it allows you to create a variety of images. The consumers can complete suits of various styles and purposes due to the interchangeability and combination of items of the proposed collection.
The bionic design method is the basis of a complementary wardrobe. The bionic design method allows you to create original images of nature in clothes.
Moodboards are designed in various color combinations using bionic shapes and structures. The preliminary design of costumes for everyday, business and festive purposes has been completed. The costumes are made up of items from the developed collection. The collection includes a bodysuit, a mini skirt, a midi skirt with a curly slit, a cape skirt, trousers, shorts, a top, an asymmetrical cropped dress, a dress, a corset, a jacket. The combination of blue and blue with carrot and yellow-green shades is a more harmonious color solution for this concept. Carrot-colored bodysuit emphasizes the brightness and expressiveness of images. It is chosen as the base item of the collection. A large number of different fashionable and stylish sets for any occasion can be obtained thanks to a combination of these products. The principle of complementarity in the formation of a wardrobe and bionics in its design correspond to the trend of environmental friendliness.
