Abstract. In the conditions of the modern market, great attention is paid to the quality of goods produced, which is understood as compliance with its requirements imposed by buyers. The assessment of the properties of materials and footwear in general is carried out on the basis of relevant regulatory documents. Against this background, the assessment of the form stability of parts of the bottom of shoes, which is one of the most important indicators of the quality of materials and shoes, is not regulated in any way. Form resistance is not only an important component of the aesthetic properties of shoes, but also determines their convenience. In addition, the parameter of the shape stability of shoes makes it possible to indirectly judge the efficiency of technological processes, the perfection of the equipment and accessories used, as well as the correspondence of the materials used to the structures of shoes for various purposes.
This article presents an assessment of the shape stability of footwear bottom parts made of porous materials by their residual deformation under static compression. Based on literary sources, it is assumed that the threshold values of residual deformation, at which the form stability of the lower parts of the shoe is maintained, are in the range of 15… 30 %.
A model of the dependence of the residual deformation of samples of plantar materials on their density and the duration of static compression has been developed, which makes it possible to predict the shape stability of footwear bottom parts from materials of different densities. Dependence of degree of shape stability of base materials on their density is established. Proposed range of density of porous materials is divided into four intervals, within which high, sufficient, partially sufficient and unsatisfactory form stability of footwear bottom parts is ensured. Recommendations are given on the use of porous plantar materials for various types of shoes.
