Abstract. The article considers the problem of ensuring safety and comfort of vegetable growers when caring for plants in underground conditions. It is shown that unfavorable climatic conditions are formed in the zone of plant growth. In some modes, the air temperature in the greenhouse can reach 29,3 ±2,7ºC with a relative air humidity of 44 % to 85 %. It has been established that a set of vegetable grower’s clothes in these conditions should not only effectively protect the skin from contact with plants, but also provide conditions for rational human heat exchange. The effectiveness of using clothes with ventilated air layers for these operating conditions has been proven. The main tasks associated with the design of such clothes are set.
A numerical model is presented to substantiate the parameters of a stabilized air layer in a set of clothes. The capabilities of the model are shown, in particular, the possibility of calculating the distribution of the temperature field and air velocity due to natural convection, taking into account the structure of the human body, the mechanical properties of textile materials, and the design solution of products. A composite textile material with a shape memory effect is proposed. On its basis, a design of a spacer unit for forming an air gap between the underwear and the top layers of ventilated clothing is developed. A set of ventilated clothing for vegetable growers is presented, developed on the basis of the calculation results, the structure of the composite material and the design of the spacer unit are used in developing the set. The set includes a number of frame and spacer elements that allow distancing the top layer products from the underwear. Some of them are combined with ventilation inserts to ensure unimpeded air exchange between the waiting space and the surrounding air.
