Abstract. This article raises the problem of forming the image of educational institutions as a necessary condition for increasing competitiveness in the educational services market. Today, in a market economy, educational institutions must gain a status in the market, as attracting talented students and the success of an educational institution increase its attractiveness to consumers. An integral attribute of a modern student is the school uniform, therefore, the article considers the possibility of increasing the image of an educational institution and its recognition through the development of the corporate identity of a school suit. To study the problem posed, a sociological study of students from different schools of Nizhny Novgorod was conducted through a survey. The study was aimed at identifying students’ attitudes towards school uniforms and its influence on strengthening the image of the school. The paper presents the results of a survey of students of different ages. The obtained and processed results of the survey formed the basis for the development of recommendations on the formation of a school uniform style, based on the opinion of students. These recommendations will contribute to the development of the corporate identity of the school suit, as well as increasing the recognition of the educational institution, improving the image policy of the organization and, accordingly, attractiveness for consumers of educational services.
