Abstract. The article considers the issues of ethno-cultural values in the strategy of introducing cultural codes of regions into modern clothing models. To study the degree of prevalence and popularity of Russian ornament among the younger generation and its attractiveness to the target audience, a survey was conducted, which showed that the younger generation as a whole is interested in various products with a folk pattern, but it is worth focusing on modern trends. The authors have studied and identified the most characteristic ornaments for the Kursk region. Based on the analysis, the interpretation of historical patterns was carried out and unique stylized ornaments reflecting the cultural heritage of the Kursk region were developed using graphic programs, with the idea of further using these images for decorating clothes. Based on the created patterns, an electronic library was formed, including a graphic image of the ornament and a description of its cultural and historical significance. In the course of the study, the authors implemented the interaction of information technologies and cultural and creative activities through the introduction of QR codes, when scanning which users can get information about the ornament depicted on the product. The development of the color solution of the QR code was carried out taking into account the preservation of the coloristic integrity of the ornament. The authors have created and presented sketches of costume models with the introduction of ornaments bearing the cultural codes of the Kursk region. The research conducted by the authors allows us to develop modern mechanisms for using national elements to create unique and popular clothing models, as well as the use of information technologies in the revival, preservation and dissemination of national cultural heritage.
