Abstract. The problems of safe environmental management, utilization of consumer waste are relevant today. «Fast fashion» leads to a catastrophic situation and unjustified cluttering of our planet. The goal of solving the problem is to reduce the carbon footprint of textile waste. The authors propose ways to use the remnants of textile materials during cutting, for the manufacture of new composite materials for clothing.

Three-dimensional technologies make it possible to extend the life cycle of clothing and eco-friendly production technology by developing a design on the avatar of a particular person. A good fit of products on the figure, the possibility of selecting a «smart» wardrobe of interchangeable things, the exclusion of the use of additional allowances for processing seams to correct the fit, the use of composite materials — all these measures reduce the «carbon» footprint of textiles.

The multilayer composite material is form-resistant and is recommended for the manufacture of outerwear, laptop cases, bags, etc. The introduction of these technologies will encourage enterprises to use waste and increase the volume of its collection, processing and disposal, which can make a certain contribution to the social responsibility of modern culture.

The development of a new dimensional typology of the population is an important task facing light industry specialists. It would reduce the number of disproportionate clothing, the number of defects, repairs to change the length and volume, correction of landing defects. The current regulatory documents on standard dimensional features are very outdated and require updating. The article shows the first results of the behavior of measuring the population of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The boundary values of the main dimensional features, the arithmetic mean values and the mode differ significantly from the readings of 50 years ago.

All the measures described in the complex will reduce the negative impact of textile industry waste on the ecological situation of our country.
