Development of the structure and testing of the dynamic effect of the shape of packages of materials for thermal protective clothing

Abstract. The article presents a developed new structure of a package of materials for heat-protective clothing, with the use of parts from materials with shape memory. The design features of packages of materials for special, household, sports clothes are systematized and a matrix for typing materials for each component of the heat insulation package with a dynamic shape function is developed, based on which the composition of the required package of materials is determined. It includes insulation of only non-cohesive structure, closed into sectional structure of double-layer shell from lining fabric with inclusion of limiting parts from textile tapes. This design of the bag is worked out in two versions, depending on the application and the corresponding top fabrics. Based on the developed structural versions of the material packages, appropriate test samples were made using two top fabrics. Parts integrated into samples from materials with shape memory are made from a functional NiTi alloy and subjected to a process of thermomechanical training with imparting a given shape to the parts, which is activated as a response to a given temperature of external action. The developed structure of the package of materials was experimentally tested under the conditions of the target thermal regime. The desired effects of shape dynamics have been established both for functional parts of a package made of materials with shape memory, and the effects of the influence of such parts on the volumetric characteristics of packages of materials for heat-protective clothing. The obtained effects confirmed the achievement of an active bending angle of functional parts made of materials with shape memory, which control the shape of material packages, and also confirmed the effect of a general increase in the thickness of the thermal insulation shell package, which made it possible to prove the effectiveness of the proposed method in developing technologies for increasing human thermal comfort in conditions of variable thermal effects by means of high-tech thermal protective clothing.
