Abstract. The article substantiates the need to develop clothes for outdoor activities with the aim of improving the population health, as well as ensuring road safety during activities such as street sports, tourism, travel, family vacations, etc. Forming the need for a healthy lifestyle is a priority of state policy. Traditionally, in household clothes, signal elements performed a symbolic or aesthetic function, and now they must be systematically used in household clothes in order to increase the safety and comfort of everyday elements of a suit. The use of lighting design elements in everyday, special, stage clothes and high fashion collections has been studied. In this article, we propose options for clothing models in which reflective materials are used as light design elements, and a person’s comfortable state is ensured by the properties of the materials used and transformation elements. Sketches and photos of sewn products are presented, their description is given. The following transformation elements are proposed in the products: functional curved relief with a clasp on a hidden braid-zipper, detachable sleeves and a hood, a jacket and trousers fastened to a braid-zipper, ventilation valves, etc. The products are made by students of the Department of Technology and Economics of Chuvash State pedagogical university named after I.Ya. Yakovlev during undergraduate practices at sewing enterprises of the Chuvash Republic. The results of testing some prototypes of products under real operating conditions are presented in the form of diagrams. The dynamics of the body surface temperature values and of the humidity of the fresh air reflects the effectiveness of the use of the selected materials and the model-design features of the products for the given operating conditions, which is confirmed by comfortable heat sensations of the person in the presented products.
