Analysis of current trends in the technology of knitting fashionable knitwear

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis and ordering (classification) of the latest existing techniques for knitting knitwear by hand. The author did not find any works in which the material on technical techniques and methods of knitting knitwear is systematized and summarized. This research is a logical continuation of the author’s work on the shaping of knitwear.

In addition to a huge variety of yarns of different textures, developed patterns and models, there are many different knitting techniques, including using different tools. Most knitting and crocheting techniques are widely and widely used, and some are still little known. An analysis of the technical embodiment of an artistic idea in a knitted suit showed that at the moment there is a certain number of the latest techniques for hand knitting, which are mastered by masters to create unique fashion collections of products. Therefore, it became necessary to study and classify them.
