Abstract. This study analyzes technologies for visualizing and presenting digital fashion collections. Key programs used by digital designers, such as CLO3D and Blender, the third-party online platform for rigging and animating 3D characters, Mixamo, and the virtual fashion marketplace, Clo-Set Connect, are considered. Particular attention is paid to material simulation, animating avatars with clothing in CLO3D, and integrating digital models into Blender for more precise and detailed work with lighting, environments, and animation. The goal of this study is to develop a method for transferring avatars with textures, clothing, and animation from CLO3D to Blender. This process is an important step in presenting a digital fashion collection. This study is relevant because the field of digital fashion is in its infancy. This leads to a lack of research on a number of issues, including the problem of importing model animations from CLO3D to Blender while preserving the avatar and clothing textures. Currently, this information is primarily available on international internet platforms, typically in video format, such as YouTube.
The results of this work contribute to an understanding of the capabilities of 3D software and are intended to help aspiring digital fashion professionals and brands evaluate various methods for presenting digital collections and demonstrate the capabilities and potential of working with CLO3D and Blender. The described methodology allows for the rapid transfer of digital collections between programs.
