Abstract. The article is part of the author’s dissertation research. This article describes the problem of the harmful influence of the design process of fur products on the environment. At the same time, the authors focus on the negative impact of both animal fur from the point of view of the fur industry’s treatment of animals and artificial fur, since textile industry waste is one of the most pressing problems in the fashion supply chain. The idea of this study is to develop such designs of artificial fur products and a method of their manufacture, in which there will be a minimum number of interlocking attacks, and, accordingly, the least amount of waste in production, which will entail a more rational use of materials and will add «environmental friendliness» to enterprises manufacturing eco-fur products. It is planned to develop a method for connecting parts, using which it will be possible to divide the design of the product into small-sized parts, which will make it possible to make a denser layout and minimize interlocking attacks. For this purpose, a classification is being developed that allows choosing the method of production of winter coats made of artificial fur with minimizing the negative impact. The methods of grinding parts suitable for specific types of artificial fur are described, as well as options for which parts can be divided by the designer when designing patterns for the model. The developed classification can be more refined and supplemented with the study of more artificial fur in the criteria of pile length. Within the framework of a specific enterprise, the structure can be represented by the materials used for the season.
