Fashion trends in the design of modern knitwear

Abstract. The article discusses the features of the composite design of a knitwear costume based on a system of mobile elements, such as a complex sewing design element in the form of a neck design, including collars. The collar has been an important element of the costume throughout the history of fashion.

An analysis of the material showed that some designers adhere to timeless classics, while others strive to bring something unique, fantastic, which may revolutionize fashion.

The author notes that the main and general trends for all analyzed wardrobe items is the desire for asymmetry and incompleteness of the image, both of individual parts and of clothing as a whole.

The design of the neck of a knitted product, including in the form of a collar, is a complex sewing design element.

In recent years, knitwear reigned on the catwalks in the fall-winter seasons. Knitted in fashion are: jumpers, cardigans, turtlenecks, sweaters, pullovers, leggings, knee-highs and even bags.

In such a variety, a jumper can be distinguished as the main element in knitted clothes. The article focuses on the analysis of the collars of various types of jumpers. It is the jumper in the sequential change of its parameters is the leading type of assortment.
