Abstract. This article considers the ornament and its constituent elements.

Ornament is one of the most important elements of culture, reflecting the characteristics of folk art, its aesthetic and spiritual values. Over the centuries, ornament has been subject to transformation and development under the influence of changes in society and art. Today, in the era of rapid development of technology, not only the ornament itself is changing, but also the methods and methods of its creation.

The relevance of the research in the article is due not only to the high demand for neural networks in the modern world, especially in the field of design, but also to the low level of knowledge of the results of the prompt when designing an author’s ornament in different neural networks. There is a need to study, organize and, presenting it in a form convenient for regular use (block diagram and algorithm), explain the structure of the prompt when designing an author’s ornament.

Modern methods of ornament design are highlighted: the use of computer programs, the use of 3D technologies, the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The main problem in generation with neural networks is the compilation of the correct program. The issue of compiling a prompt for neural networks in the development of the author’s ornament was considered. Additional components of the ornament have been identified, which must be taken into account when compiling a prompt for a neural network. All components of the ornament are organised into a flowchart to compile the industrial. An algorithm for compiling a prompt in a neural network has been developed when designing the author’s ornament. The result of the work on the algorithm is presented in the form of several different author’s ornaments based on one image using Leonardo.ai and Midjourney neural networks. During the design in the neural network, the features of work in Leonardo.ai that affect the result were identified. The developed algorithm allows you to simplify the work in neural networks when designing the author’s ornament.
