Abstract. The article describes the result of the study of the problem of pupils’ attitude to the school uniform, performed in the framework of the research work of the students of the secondary school № 103. The analysis of the attitude towards the school uniform of teenagers of foreign countries is carried out. The authors conducted an extensive survey of students of secondary schools in the city of Nizhny Novgorod to identify the attitude of high school students to the problem of the school uniform. The survey was conducted in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the survey revealed an ambiguous attitude towards the need to wear a school uniform, but also revealed a desire to wear a school uniform in 87 % of students, if it will be liked by the students. The results of the survey made it possible to identify the main components of the modern school form, which can become a welcome attribute of the educational process in adolescents. Based on the research and taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Education of Russia, a «model» of a school suit was developed that would allow the creation of specific school uniforms for schools, participants in the experiment. Based on the developed «model», it is planned to continue work on modeling and designing specific school suit options for schools participating in the survey.
