Abstract. The article presents a comprehensive study that focuses on analyzing the properties of polyamide 6-based threads and knitted materials, as well as evaluating their potential as reinforcement components in innovative polymer composites. The article examines the physical and mechanical characteristics of polyamide threads, including their strength, thermal resistance, and hygroscopicity and chemical stability, which play a crucial role in determining the performance of products in various operational environments. Special attention is given to the role of the lubricant, which provides an anti-static effect and ensures the stability of the knitting process. The influence of various types of lubricant — polyethylene glycol, paraffin, oil, wax, and silicone compositions — on the quality of the formed fabric, thread breakage, and the resource of knitting equipment operation is analyzed. Additionally, approaches to the selection and optimization of binding systems for composites based on nylon knitwear, including thermosetting, thermoplastic, and single-polymer systems, are considered.
